Myrcene is a natural compound found in foods, like orange, carrot, basil, and lemongrass, and of their juices and essential oils. Myrcene is used as a flavoring agent in food and beverages, and as a fragrance in cosmetics. According to OEHHA, Myrcene meets the criteria of being carcinogenic under Proposition 65. FACT: The research on myrcene is mixed. While some animal studies have raised concerns of potential carcinogenic risks at high oral doses, newer studies suggest that Myrcene could even have anticancer properties in human cells.

DON’T STRESS: ÈYÍ DÁRA products have low amounts of natural fragrances (essential oils) with Myrcene.  We are committed to educating our customers so that you’re empowered to make an informed decision on your journey towards healthier hair and wellness.
